The City of Hawthorne Recreation & Community Services Department hosted the annual Halloween Carnival on the 30th at the Hawthorne Memorial Center. Hundreds of kids in costumes and their parents showed up for a spooktackular good time.There were over thirty different carnival games including Boosketball, Witches Brew Toss, Skeleton Ringer,and more;all of which allowed participants to earn candy and toys for playing the games.The city provides the carnival as a free event for children 12 years and under. Parents find the carnival a positive alternative for their children so they can partake in safe trick-or-treating and Halloween fun.
