Hawthorne celebrated the kick-off of the holiday season with the 7th Annual Hometown Holiday Parade held December 1, 2007.

The parade began at 138th and Hawthorne Blvd and traveled along Hawthorne to El Segundo. The route turned west to Grevillea Ave., and then north to City Hall.

Santa was on hand to visit with children and distribute toys.

Other highlights of the day included;

• A real snow bank to play in
• Free Hotdogs
• 1st Annual BBQ/Chili Cook-off
