The Department of Building and Safety is responsible for enforcing all applicable Federal, State and local construction laws. The administrative functions include record maintenance, processing of permits and plans, and department management. The Plan Check functions are responsible for reviewing all submitted plans for compliance of applicable Building, Plumbing, Electrical and Mechanical codes. The Inspection function includes all activities on construction sites to insure compliance with approved plans and applicable codes.
