In addition to serving as a Councilman  for the City of Hawthorne, Councilman Pablo Catano is currently employed as a the District Director for State Senator Edward Vincent.

Councilman Pablo Catano has dedicated many years of ongoing involvement in community civic activities. He is extremely active with grassroots organizations such as the Ramona Neighborhood Association, the Hawthorne Presidents Council, the Hawthorne Chamber of Commerce, former Civil Service Commissioner, and is a officer of the Moose. He is a member-founder of Moneta Gardens Improvement, former president of the Hawthorne Lions Club, member of the Board of Directors for Behavioral Health Services, and is Treasurer for Centinela Youth Services.

Councilman Pablo Catano's community involvement has centered around seniors and children and his mission goal is to acquire and implement more programs to meet their needs.
