The HPD Community Affairs Unit works under the direction of the Administrative Police Captain and is comprised of a Community Affairs Police Sergeant and a Public Safety Officer.
The primary focus of the Community Affairs Unit is to build and foster a collaborative partnership with neighborhood residents, faith based organizations, businesses, community based organizations, and public officials.
Inasmuch, it is through these partnerships that the police and the community share the responsibility for identifying, reducing, eliminating and preventing crime and problems that impact community safety and public peace.
