POLICE OFFICER (Lateral): City of Hawthorne
Salary: $3,484 - $4,463 per month, City paid PERS (3% @ 50), up to 100% of medical, dental, & optical, Educational Incentive Program (up to 15%), Educational Reimbursement @ UC rate, Specialist Pay (7%), 3-12 for patrol, 4-10 for all others, Deferred Compensation Program, and many more. The Hawthorne Police Department is a very active full service agency located in the southwest area of Los Angeles County. The men and women of HPD can expect to be exposed to any number of special assignments and receive specialized training in a variety of areas. HPD enjoys the reputation as a hardworking department with strong ties to neighboring and allied agencies. Our work is challenging and we get the job done! Applicants must be currently employed peace officer by a CA municipal PD, Sheriff's Dept., Marshal's Office, or CHP, and possess a Basic P.O.S.T. certificate.
