Arnold Shadbehr, Director of Public Works / City Engineer

The Public Works Department is made up of five divisions: Engineering, Airport, Equipment, Maintenance, and Recreation and Community Services. The Engineering Division oversees the City's capital improvement projects, provides technical support to other city departments, and operates as the administrative arm of the Public Works Department. The Equipment Division maintains the City's fleet of vehicles and the necessary infrastructure to support the vehicle fleet. The Maintenance Division maintains the City's landscaped and hardscaped public right-of-way areas including streets, sewers, storm drains, sidewalks and parkway trees. The Recreation and Community Services Division provides recreational and educational programs to improve the well-being of all the City's residents. Many of the Public Works functions are paid for by funds other than the General Fund.
