With the passage of California State Assembly Bill 341, recycling will be mandatory for all businesses and multi-family properties starting in 2012. With only a few exceptions, any business or multi-family property in the City of Hawthorne that subscribes to trash service of more than four cubic yards per week will be required to implement a recycling program.
