What is the street sweeping and trash pickup schedule for holidays? For almost all Hawthorne residents, trash service is scheduled the same day as street sweeping service.
Trash service for the week will be delayed one day after the following holidays: Labor Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day (when it falls on a weekday), and New Year's Day (when it falls on a weekday).
Street sweeping simply skips the holiday and continues the following day with regularly scheduled service.
